THE USEFULNESS OF THE WAIS-R SCALE IN THE CASE LAW EVALUATION OF AN EXPERT CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

The aim of the study is to present an effective method of neuropsychological evaluation allowing for credible and reliable assessment of cognitive and intellectual functioning of patients after a head injury. We present the neuropsychological diagnostic tool i.e. Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-Revised (WAIS-R) and the principles for evaluating the results of its use. The presentation of WAIS-R includes specific examples of its use. The potential application of WAIS-R research and particularly difficult cases of patients claiming compensation after head injury and poly-trauma is also presented.
