Streszczenie
A procedure for the analysis of rubber samples by pyrolysis-gas chromatography (Py-GC/MS) was optimized and validated. The performance of the analytical procedure was checked by analysing samples of rubber collected from car tire treads. The estimated optimal temperature and time of pyrolysis were found to be 550°C and 15 s respectively. The method requires very small amounts of sample and allows for several repetitions of analysis in a single day. Analytical results were obtained with very good repeatability of retention times (RSD < 1%) and acceptable to satisfactory repeatability of relative peak area (RSD < 30%, typical 10%). As a result, it can be concluded that a rapid and simple method was developed, offering valuable information on the chemical composition of rubber samples constituting criminalistic traces.
