Streszczenie
This paper describes the properties and effects on the human body of substances such as: mephedrone (1-(4-methylphenyl)-
2-methylaminopropan-1-on), methylone (2-methylamino-1-(3,4 methylenedioxyphenyl)propan-1-one) and MDPV (3,4-methylenedioxypyrovalerone). The affinity of these substances for receptors, and also their pathways of biotransformation have been analysed, indicating the main metabolites that can be detected in humans after ingestion of the above mentioned synthetic “legal highs”. When discussing the biotransformation, we referred to the results of microsomal and in vivo studies in animals, assuming a good correlation between the model of metabolism in the animal organism of the selected species and the metabolism that occurs in the human body.
