Streszczenie
The authors present a possible application of post-mortem CT in order to better document injuries and locate foreign bodies, leading to determination of the mechanism of injury occurrence, including the type of event (the implement used), with additional visualization. The paper is based on results of research conducted by the authors since 2009 and involving 148 cases as at May 31, 2011. The results obtained to date, as well as data from the literature favour the view that post-mortem imaging will soon become a standard of post-mortem forensic medical examination.
