Streszczenie
159 samples from the South-West Poland population were typed for seven bi-allelic, autosomal SNP (single nucleotide polymorphism) markers. All forensic parameters, allele frequencies as well as HWE were calculated for each SNP. The heptaplex-SNP panel includes the following loci: rs2013526, rs730249, rs1063739, rs727206, rs643788, rs999842 and rs877228. The created SNP multiplex might be considered as a useful alternative method for forensic identification purposes, particularly for challenging samples such as degraded or low copy number DNA present in forensic evidence and archival tissues. The 7-locus SNP multiplex can also act as a supplementary test to the currently available paternity testing techniques.
