Streszczenie
This study focuses on the frequencies of four additional loci to the “core loci” included in the Mentype Argus X-8 PCR Amplification Kit (Biotype AG) and on haplotype frequencies determined in a Polish population sample. Forensic efficiency parameters of investigated loci were calculated. Deviations from HWE were not detected. For practical reasons, eight X-STR loci were coupled in four linkage groups (DXS8378-DXS10135, DXS7132-DXS10074, HPRTB-DXS10101 and DXS7423–DXS10134), established over the human X-chromosome. The Argus X-8 Amplification Kit was found to be an effective multiplex system and a useful addition to other markers routinely used in forensic practice, especially in difficult cases in kinship analyses.
