Streszczenie
Pheromone substances, infochemical compounds emitted and received by animals from the same species, play a very important role in their social existence. Pheromones fulfil a key function in protecting the species and its survival. When attacked, animals produce alarm pheromones, thus conveying information to conspecifics. For several years now, alarm pheromones have been the subject of investigations carried out by the author. Their isolation and identification in humans might be of significance in forensic medicine, forensic sciences and judicial institutions.
