WORKING OUT CONDITIONS OF IDENTIFICATION AND COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF CAR PAINTS BY PYROLYTIC GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY COUPLED WITH MASS SPECTROMETRY (Py-GC-MS)

Streszczenie
A procedure for the analysis of paints by pyrolytic gas chromatography with the use of CDS Pyroprobe 2000 (Analytix, UK) apparatus coupled with GC-MS TurboMass (Perkin Elmer) was developed. The efficacy of the analytical procedure was checked by analysis of several chosen polymer materials. It was found that the procedure allows reliable and reproducible results to be obtained and, furthermore, the time of analysis is short and the amount of analysed material very small. The Py-GC-MS method, by providing information about many compo nents of analysed paints, gives the possibility of distinguishing between samples of very similar chemical composition.
