Streszczenie
It is well-known that currently amphetamine derivatives and THC are common drugs of abuse, often unfortunately referred to as “recreational drugs”. In recent years several cardiovascular disturbances due to addiction to or overdose of such drugs of abuse have been observed. Heart failure and vascular damage associated with cocaine and amphetamine compounds have mainly been described. A case of heavy intoxication by MDMA of a 17-year-old girl is presented. The clinical course of intoxication, manifested symptoms, organ damage and treatment are discussed. The results of a forensic medical autopsy and post mortem examination are also described in detail.
