Streszczenie
The importance of the contribution of Harry Söderman to forensic science can be understood through anecdotes, notes and contributions by his peers, especially through the eyes of his master and friend E. Locard. His visions of science as a process useful in determining truth (identity, cause, circumstances) as much as possible for the judiciary is definitely modern. It needs polyvalence, observation capabilities and intelligence to transform data into meaningful information. In this Söderman demonstrated that he was of the foremost mind in the development of forensic science in Europe and the USA. Documents and archives give a telling although fragmentary picture of his contributions.
