Streszczenie
This paper presents the alleles frequency distribution for the D8S1132 locus in a population sample of 158 unrelated individuals of both sexes living in north Poland. PCR products were identified on a horizontal polyacrylamide gel stained with silver. The presence of the D8S1132*15 allele, which had not been observed till now, was ascertained using capillary electrophoresis on an ABI310 DNA sequencer. In the analysed population sample, the presence of 10 D8S1132 alleles was observed. Owing to the very high discrimination power (0.9622) of the analysed locus, it is highly useful for forensic identification purposes.
