Streszczenie
Population genetics studies were carried out on samples of unrelated individuals from the Upper Silesian population using STR systems: TH01 (n = 240), TPOX and CSF1PO (n = 162). No deviations from the H-W equilibrium were observed. No rare alleles and no aberrations from Mendelian laws were found. The allele frequency at two (TPOX, CSF1PO) of the three STR loci in the Upper Silesian population was similar to those of other Polish and European populations. Allele frequencies of Polish populations which had been compared with each other in the TH01 system were not homogeneous. The following statistical parameters of forensic importance were calculated: observed heterozygosity (Htobs.), expected heterozygosity (Htexp) discrimination power (PD), mean exclusion chance (MEC), mean exclusion probability (MEP) and polymorphic information content (PIC).
