Streszczenie
Population studies of the DYS390 system were carried out on 186 men from south-east Poland. PCR products, which were fluorescein-labeled by forward primers, were analysed in a denaturing polyacrylamide gel using an FMBIO II (Hitachi). Seven alleles were identified, out of which the most commonly occurring ones are allele 25 (0.489), 24 (0.285) and 23 (0.129). Statistically significant differences have been shown in the frequency of alleles of the DYS390 system between the population under study and four other populations from European countries. A similar distribution of alleles was only found in men from north Poland. The highly informative quality of the DYS390 system was confirmed by coefficients PIC (0.607) and D (0.6590), which were calculated on the basis of the results of the study.
