Streszczenie
In order to identify alcoholic products it is necessary to carry out the following research: determine the kind of volatile impurities using the gas chromatographic method, determine the ethanol content, study the dry residue obtained after evaporation of 50-100 ml of the liquid, as well as estimate its organoleptic features such as fragrance and flavour. These procedures allow us to distinguish between commercial alcohol produced by fermentation, and products obtained by primitive methods (moonshine). Moreover, on the basis of these studies it is possible to affirm whether it is alcohol for consumption, or alcohol that has been contaminated or designated for industrial purposes. It can also be established with high probability if it is alcohol from domestic (commercial) production or has been illegally imported.
