DECISION-MAKING IN CUSTODY CASES IN POLAND

Streszczenie
Fifty judges were asked to fill in a questionnaire prepared by the author concerning decision making criteria in family court. The most important sources and factors influencing the custody decision were considered. Judges expressed their opinions on custodian competence, and also on the reasons why mothers usually become main custodians, and why family judges are predominantly women. The results will be discussed.
