Streszczenie
The biosynthesis of A, B, H, Lea, Leb, Lex and Ley antigens is described in this article, as is its genetic regulation and the ontogenetic conditions under which this process occurs. The role of the Se gene in the biosynthesis and secretion of antigenic substances has been presented against this background. Possible errors which may stem from a hasty evaluation of the relationship between AB0, Lewis and Se phenotypes have been indicated.
