Streszczenie
Research was carried out to determine whether it is possible to identify thermally changed fibres. Textile fibres of both natural and synthetic origin were used. In order to simulate conditions induced by increased temperatures the fibres were ashed in a muffle furnace. The morphology and chemical composition of the thermally changed fibres were studied and valuable information was gained.
