Streszczenie
The described case relates to an unknown drug intoxication of a woman whose dead body was found in her bathroom. Identification and quantification of drugs were carried out using thin-layer chromatography (TLC), high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and fluorescence polarization immumoassay (FPIA). The chemico-toxicological analysis of biological material showed the presence of ethyl alcohol (blood - 2.3‰, urine - 3.1‰) and psychotropic drugs: promazine, hydroxizine, and diazepam. Concentrations of the 1,4-benzodiazepine derivatives and promazine in blood were at low toxic levels. The presence of hydroxizine in parenchymatous organs solely and lack of this drug presence in blood and gastric contents are indications of early ingestion of the drug.
