SUICIDE OR HOMICIDE? A CASE HISTORY

Streszczenie
The article describes a case of a young man's death, in which investigators initially assumed that he had committed suicide, as witnesses' testimonies suggested the sudden occurrence of acute psychotic symptoms in the man. An expert psychologist's report, drawn up subsequently, in which a psychological profile of the deceased was created, led to the suggestion that the man had been the victim of a homicide. The case constituted a basis for deliberations on the role of psychologists in investigations of this kind. According to the authors, the participation of a psychologist as a consultant would be more effective.
