Forensic Science Laboratories cannot afford to make mistakes or mislead an investigation or the courts. It is therefore essential that the services they provide are of the right quality. This involves more than just the implementation of a quality management system. The use of competent staff and the right philosophy of approach are also essential. The presentation will explore these issues and the extent to which ENFSI is responding to them.
