Streszczenie
Language communication allows us to describe reality, provided that the norms and rules for the use of a system of signs are applied. Humans differentiate words and understand the intentions of the communicating person thanks to precision in producing specific sounds. However, the sense of a message is often correctly understood even if some aspects of communication are outside the normal social range, e.g. articulation is careless. Complicated phonic and articulation processes, defects in the anatomical structure of the speech apparatus, disorders of mental processes connected, among other things, with intoxication by psychoactive substances are just some of the causes of anomalies of speech. Phonoscopy experts in forensic examinations analyse all speech disorders from the point of view of individualisation of speakers. Unlike clinicians, the range of methods used by experts does not always allow precise determination of the aetiology of phenomena. Formulation of unequivocal conclusions requires practice and great care.
