Streszczenie
Intoxications caused by fenotiazine derivatives are one of the most frequent in Toxicology Clinic of Collegium Medicum UJ. The amount of confirmed fenotiazine intoxication cases is constant and remains at about 18 a month. Medicines from that group are relatively safe but only when not joint with alcohol or other drugs. Presented paper describes the case of lethal, suicidal intoxication by promazine of a patient, who had been treated after several suicidal attempts. Administered dose of promazine was over 100 tablets, 100 mg each. Determined blood concentration of promazine straight after hospitalisation was 8.4 mg/l.
