POLYMORPHISM OF X-CHROMOSOME STR LOCI: DXS8378, DXS7132, HPRTB, DXS7423 IN A POPULATION OF CENTRAL POLAND

This study presents allele frequency distribution and analysis of biostatistical parameters of a set of four X-chromosome STR loci, determined in a sample of 120 unrelated individuals from the central region of Poland. No deviations from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium (HWE) were revealed at any of the investigated loci within the female population. No significant differences were observed between allele distributions in the female and male population. Obtained values of biostatistical parameters of the set of investigated X-chromosome STR loci proved their usefulness in forensic genetics.
