Streszczenie
This text, which takes Cronbach and Gleser’s diagnostic decisions utility model as its major point of reference and the Thematic Apperception Test as its example, is devoted to the issue of the diagnostic value of projective techniques. The paper provides a brief discussion of the classification of projective techniques and shows how information on the category of tool can be used to select the method that is appropriate for a given case. The rules and procedures involved in assessment using the Thematic Apperception Test (TAT), along with its interpretation, are also considered.
