Streszczenie
The subject of this work was 25 cases of people who were driving under the influence of amphetamine and/or its derivatives. Most of the investigations were carried out following routine roadside checks of drivers (21), and, additionally, road accidents (3) and a cyclist roadside check (1). Identification and determination of xenobiotics in blood samples collected from drivers were performed by high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-ESI-MS-MS). Amphetamine was detected in all cases. The presence of amphetamine derivatives (3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine, 3,4 methylenedioxyamphetamine, methamphetamine and pseudoephedrine) was determined in 4 cases. In terms of compounds that are not derivatives of amphetamine, cannabinoids and morphine were determined in 10 and 1 cases, respectively. Ethanol was detected only in one case for which the breath ethanol concentration was 0.52 mg/l.
