Streszczenie
The use of blended clothing has become popular in recent years. As a result, analysis of fibre blends is performed more frequently than previously. Different analytical techniques are suitable for analysing different fibre types. The analysis of fibre mixtures has to be carried out in an appropriate manner in order to avoid misinterpretation. Some of the common approaches to fibre blend analysis are microscopy, spectroscopy, and solubility testing. This review discusses several methods employed in fibre blend examination for forensic purposes as well as tools that have potential to be included in such analyses. A critical review is also included to highlight the pros and cons of each technique.
