Streszczenie
In recent times, development of latent fingermarks on sticky side of adhesive tapes has gained a growing interest from different research groups all over the world. Development of latent fingermarks on sticky side of adhesive tapes is a difficult task due to the presence of adhesive material on the inner surface of these tapes. In the present work, an attempt has been made to summarize the various methods available till date for the development of latent fingermarks on sticky side of different kinds of adhesive tapes. Fresh and aged latent fingermarks present on the sticky side of different kinds of adhesive tapes can be successfully developed using nanoparticles based composition. Low toxicity, high sensitivity, lack of background interference and improved contrast are the major merits of nanoparticles based compositions. No single method can be considered as universal method for the development of latent fingermarks on sticky side of adhesive tapes. It is suggested that more studies should be conducted to develop a suitable standard and validated method to develop latent fingermarks on sticky side of adhesive tapes.
