Streszczenie
The technological advancements in almost all phases of society during past few decades have allowed the fraudsters to perform spurious activities with high technical standards that are not only user friendly but also affordable and easily available to generate false copies close to the nature and design of original documents. Examination of disputed documents with any kind of forged activity has always been challenging but the detection of transposed forgeries bring about large difficulties while using manual and simpler ways of detection, therefore needs more robust and scientific methods of examination. The present study is a case report that may serve as an illustration to learners from various divisions of forensic science as well as law makers to understand and envisage the occurrence of several illegal activities together on a same document, i.e., obliterations created with the help of physical methods and further using different mechanical devices to inscribe the signatures. The case represents the ability of advanced optical methods for the examination of disputed documents with disturbed paper fibres, manipulated or modified writings and signatures utilizing the unique ability of toner baser printing and modern self-inking stamp to generate writing features similar to those of genuine handwriting in a manner that remains undetected to the naked eye. Examination of such documents with stereomicroscopy and advanced optical microscopy along with various magnifications and light source tools generates robust, reliable, scientific evidences to be presented in court of law.
