THE SIGNIFICANCE OF CURVATURE IN IDENTIFICATION ANALYSES OF HANDWRITING AND SIGNATURES

Janusz DZIECHCIARUK
Regional Court in Wrocław, Poland

Streszczenie
A fundamental aspect of the curvature of a graphic line – its relationship with speed of writing – is analysed. By applying the isochrony principle, this relationship is expressed in a mathematical formula, demonstrating another interesting use of the isochrony principle. The paper also demonstrates how this relationship can help in evaluating the quality of a graphic line. Some ideas are presented about new possibilities of research on biometric electronic signatures, concerning calculation of line quality along graphic strokes.
