THE USE OF ANTHROPOMETRY IN THE IDENTIFICATION OF PEOPLE ON THE BASIS OF PHOTOGRAPHS

Streszczenie
Anthropometry, one of the basic research tools of anthropology, can be used in criminalistics. Anthropometric methods are applied in the description of external features (identikit) of unknown corpses, as well as in identification studies of people on the basis of photographs, which constitutes the subject-matter of the present work. Anthropometric methods of research used in human identification on the basis of photographs have been presented here, as has their practical application, illustrated by two criminalistic expert's opinions.
